China’s spot nickel prices are expected to move at 95,000-100,000 yuan per tonne next week, SMM predicts.

SHANGHAI, Jun. 12 (SMM) – China’s spot nickel prices are expected to move at 95,000-100,000 yuan per tonne next week, SMM predicts.

Nickel supply will remain ample in China with Jinchuan Group and traders shipping out goods actively.

Nevertheless, the number of imported nickel entering Chinese market will decline as importation becomes unprofitable, so downward room for spot nickel prices will be limited, SMM says.

LME nickel may trade at $12850-13200 per tonne next week.
